Google: Disabled Discover Clicks Were A Bug In An Experiment

Google fixes Discover bug

Google has fixed a bug that disabled source clicks on Discover AI summaries. The issue was reported by Damien Andell, who researches Google Discover. Google's VP of Engineering for Search, Rajan Patel, confirmed that the disabled source taps were a bug in an experiment that has been turned off. The experiment has been replaced with another. The bug had prevented users from opening a feed of articles from sources cited in AI summaries. Google has restored the intended functionality of Discover AI summaries.
